Cliff Martin established his own business, Landscape Plants by Cliff in 2001 and opened full time in April, 2003.
Cliff is a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP). The professional designation of FCHP was earned after passing an extensive written exam that measures horticulture knowledge and professional skills. This exam covers such topics as plant identification, disease and insect control, landscape design/management and retail procedures.
Established by the Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association (FNGA), the Florida Certified
Horticulture Professional program was designed to increase professionalism among Florida’s growers, landscape professionals and retail employees. This is the industry’s only standard for measuring horticultural knowledge.
Cliff specializes in propagation and growing his own plants to be used in landscaping projects and to be sold in his nursery to the general public. This allows Cliff to be able to offer low prices to his customers, while keeping his profits high.
Landscape Plants by Cliff is the result of a life-long love of working with plants. It has afforded Cliff the opportunity to take a hobby and make a successful career doing work that he enjoys.
